Day 1: Arrival at Cochin

You will be met and assisted at the airport or station on arrival in Cochin, Kerala, India, by our company's representatives. They will help you transfer to your hotel and check in. You can relax for the day and stay overnight at the hotel.

On your tour of Cochin you will see the Chinese fishing nets along the Vasco Da Gama Square, Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis Church, VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow etc. Afternoon proceed for a city tour of Cochin which includes the Jewish Synagogue and Mattancherry Palace. Enjoy a sunset boat cruise in Cochin harbour. Stay overnight in Cochin.

Day 2 : Cochin - Munnar

After breakfast we travel from Cochin to Munnar, in Kerala, India, by road. The distance of approximately 150 km is covered in around 4 hours. Enjoy the scenic beauty with marvelous waterfalls, high mountains and low flying clouds passing by. Arrive in Munnar and check into the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 3 : Munnar

Morning, proceed for Munnar sightseeing after breakfast. Move through the tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometres. Lush green hills all around - a place to be seen to be believed. Sightseeing includes Raja Malai, a high peak of Munnar where you can see Nilgiri Tahr (mountain goats), Muttuputty dam and the Indo Swiss project. You can also enjoy boating on the Lake. Overnight at Munnar.

Day 4 : Munnar - Thekkady

After breakfast we travel from Munnar to Thekkady, in Kerala, India, by road. The distance of approximately 150 km is covered in around 4 hours. Drive through tea estates, spice gardens and wild forests. Arrive at Thekkady after a memorable drive of approx. 4 hours. Check in at the hotel. In the evening visit Kumily Spice Market to buy the best spices available. Stay overnight at Thekkady.

Day 5 : Thekkady

Today you can visit the Periyar wildlife sanctuary. View rare species of plants and animals. Enjoy a boat ride on Periyar Lake, watching elephants and other animals as they come to the lakeside to drink and bathe. Stay overnight at Thekkady.

Day 6 : Thekkady - Kumarakom

By Road covering 175 km in approx. 5 hr In the morning proceed to Kumarakom after breakfast. Arrive at Kumarakom, after a journey of approx. 5 hours enjoying the beauty of the traditional Kerala houses. The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and this small water world is part of the Kuttanad region. The bird sanctuary here, which is spread across 14 acres, is a favorite haunt of migratory birds and an ornithologist's paradise. An enchanting backwater destination, Kumarakom offers visitors many other leisure options. Boating and fishing facilities are available at Kumarakom. A picturesque world of backwaters thatched houseboats, Cormorants, Chinese fishing nets and swaying palms - An ideal getaway. Check in at the hotel. Stay overnight at Kumarakom.

Day 7: Kumarakom

After breakfast proceed to visit the Kumarakom Bird Park. Enjoy a day cruise on the backwaters or Vembanand Lake. Afternoon will be at leisure. Overnight will be at Kumarakom.

Day 8 : Kumarakom - Kovalam

After breakfast we travel from Kumarakom to Kovalam, in Kerala, India, by road. The distance of approximately 120 km is covered in around 3 hours. Kovalam, the international beach resort, has beautiful beaches lined with coconut trees. The leisure options at this beach are plenty and diverse - sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programs, Catamaran cruising etc. Evening enjoy the beach. Overnight will be at the resort in Kovalam.

Day 9 : Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam

After breakfast travel by road on a full day excursion to Kanyakumari. Enroute visit Padmanabhapuram Palace and Suchindram Temple. At Kanyakumari visit Vivekanada rock. Drive back to Kovalam in the evening.

Day 10 : Kovalam - Home/next destination

Enjoy your breakfast and then transfer at leisure for your train or flight to the next destination at the end of your Best of Kerala vacation, tour package.
