Devi Garh Resort
Devi Garh Fort Palace is perched in the tranquil Aravalli hills in the village of Delwara, which is on one of the three strategic passes into Udaipur.
Maharana Pratap awarded this significant principality of Delwara to Sajja Singh who was a native of Gujarat in recognition of his exceptional bravery and intense loyalty towards him in the Battle of Haldighati against Mughal Emperor Akbar in 1576 AD. The construction of the Devi Garh Fort Palace began in the 1760's under the patronage of Raghudev Singh II. Subsequent rulers made further additions according to their needs and requirements. The palace was became the part of the state of Rajasthan in the 1960's and over the period of time, abandoned.
Devi Garh Fort Palace was converted into a heritage hotel and is ready after years of preservation and restoration. Devi Garh Resort is an outstanding example where the traditional architecture joins hands with modern amenities. The hotel is renovated using local marbles and semi-precious stones. The contemporary designs complement the Rajasthani architecture of Devi Garh Resort. The personalized and warm service is similar to the time of the Rajput Maharajas and will make your stay at Devi Garh Resort a memorable one.
